Uses

  • Medically recommended first-aid therapy during the first 72 hours following most sprain and strain injuries. Cold and compression helps reduce swelling and relieve pain. Once swelling has subsided, the application of heat will help reduce pain and promote healing. Heat therapy is recommended for treating muscle aches, stiffness, tension and cramps. Provides this therapy in a convenient reusable form. Provides compression and conveniently holds the gel-pack in place.

Directions

  • Please see gel-pack for detailed instructions. Care: Remove gel-pack, wash bandage in lukewarm water and lay flat to dry. As with any fine fabric, keep away from heat. Return gel-pack to bandage pocket upon completion of drying.

Warnings

  • People with nerve or circulatory problems should not use this product unless prescribed by a physician. Do not apply heat to broken and/or sensitive skin. Heat should not be used with external analgesic products. Do not apply compress without placing gel-pack inside bandage. Do not exceed heating time specified in heating schedule. Do not sit or lean on compress. Excessive heating or weight may cause gel-pack to rupture and leak. If condition persists, consult a physician. Cold compress therapy should not be used by individuals with known or suspected circulation problems, unless under the direct supervision of a physician.

Directions

  • Use Instructions. 1 Place in freezer for at least 2 hours. 2 Apply directly to injured area, no towel or cover needed. Leave in place for no more than 20 minutes. 3 Remove compress and return to freezer for at least 30 minutes before reapplying. Always return to freezer promptly for faster reuse. CAUTION:. Do not heat cold pack in microwave. Individuals with problems in sensing cold should use extreme caution with this product. To avoid frostbite, cold therapy should not exceed 20 minutes at a time. Do not lie on top of compress, as it could cause compress to break. Check for leaks before use. Throw away if leaking. For external use only. Adult supervision is recommended when using on children. Talk to your doctor if you have questions about the injury or if swelling or pain persists. Do not use this cold pack heat therapy. Suggested First Aid: If contents contact skin or eyes, remove pack immediately. Thoroughly flush with water. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call a doctor o poison control center immediately.
