Customer Questions and Answers:

Q1. Satin Floss or Satin Tape, what’s the difference?

  • Satin Floss is comfortable to use and easy to handle and features a satin-like texture. Plus, it offers a burst of mint freshness on contact to let you know it’s working.
  • If you’re new to flossing or have larger spaces in your teeth, you might want to try the Satin Tape. It’s a wider version of Satin Floss so it’s a little easier to use.

Q2. I’m allergic to gluten. Can I use your floss?

  • Oral-B Floss does NOT contain gluten.

Q3. How often should I floss?

  • In order to help keep teeth and gums healthy, the American Dental Association recommends flossing daily. Decay causing bacteria linger between teeth where toothbrush bristles can't reach. Flossing removes plaque and food particles from between the teeth and under the gum line.

Q4. How should I floss, and how much floss should I use?

  • Break off about 18 inches of floss and wind most of it around one of your middle fingers. Wind the remaining floss around the same finger of the opposite hand. This finger will take up the floss as it becomes dirty.
  • Hold the floss tightly between your thumbs and forefingers.
  • Guide the floss between your teeth using a gentle rubbing motion. Never snap the floss into the gums.
  • When the floss reaches the gum line, curve it into a C shape against one tooth. Gently slide it into the space between the gum and the tooth.
  • Hold the floss tightly against the tooth.
  • Gently rub the side of the tooth, moving the floss away from the gum with up and down motions.
  • Repeat this method on the rest of your teeth, and don't forget the back side of your last tooth.

Q5. Why floss? What are the benefits?

  • Flossing removes plaque in places toothbrushes can’t reach (between teeth and under the gumline) to prevent tooth decay and gum disease.

Q6. Do you ship to UK?

  • Yes
